Including the most recent update in 2019, LinkedIn Live Video.

LinkedIn launched in 2002 and I first joined the platform around that time and it has always been an amazing place to network 24/7.

And a lot of people tell me they think LinkedIn is boring or they are not sure how to navigate creating content for the platform.

(based on my very first LinkedIn Video uploaded March 2018)

  • Look in the Camera Lens - Make Eye Contact

  • Lighting - Natural or Lamps - We want to see your expressions and face

  • Sound - We want to be able to clearly hear you (and either add captions or write up what is in the video as part of the video post copy)

  • Scroll Stopping Headline (above the fold so they press the … see more) - Make your Post Copy Other Focused

  • Portrait Video (Vertical), 4:5, or square shows up larger in the newsfeed

  • Include a Call to Action to Drive Engagement and Inbound Leads

  • Create a Clear Content Signal & Optimize your profile for your highest ROI or current campaign / offering
